My research

Each of my three books deals with a different subject: Book 1: Noise (sound/noise/hiss) as a subject of representation AND a function of literature from Naturalism to Postmodernism. 2nd book: The emergence of the American novel and European aesthetics in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. 3rd book: 1,015 poems by three key 20th-century anthropologists (Sapir, Benedict, Mead). Did the freeze on US food aid disproportionately affect Republican voters?

As is so often the case, it’s a bit complicated. In absolute terms, more Democratic voters are affected by the SNAP cuts. However, Republican voters will feel the impact more keenly.
