My research
I am interested in the role of language in society and develop methods to investigate these roles empirically. To do this, I usually draw on large corpora of language use: texts, messages, conversations, etc. By analysing this data using computational linguistics, we can learn a great deal about society. Text-generating artificial intelligence is currently bringing about significant changes: both in society and in the methods we use.
