My research
I am exploring how we can encourage teachers to further develop their teaching based on their strengths, whilst enabling them to feel competent and effective in doing so. I draw on findings from developmental psychology and research into the quality of interaction in the classroom, as I am convinced that this is how we can respond constructively to the diversity in our schools.

Is there a particularly good seat for autistic primary school pupils?
People on the autism spectrum have very different needs. Some are sensitive to light and noise, whilst others require a highly structured environment.

Can a dog in the classroom make learning easier?
Studies show that a trained dog has positive effects: less stress, greater team spirit and better reading performance.
