My research
My research focuses on significant life transitions such as the adoption of a child, out-of-home care (growing up in a children’s home or with a foster family), illness or the death of a child. I am interested in how these experiences affect both children and parents, and what transgenerational consequences such life events may have. I also find questions of belonging highly interesting. I conduct my research using qualitative social research methods (e.g. interviews, ethnography).
