Meine Forschung

I am interested in how climate change affects the life cycle of trees, particularly their various stages of development, such as budburst in spring or the changing colour of leaves in autumn. I also study the impact of droughts and heatwaves on tree growth by analysing their growth rings. To better understand these responses, I combine field observations with controlled experiments, which help to identify the underlying mechanisms.
