My research

My projects focus on how tree species respond to climate fluctuations and extreme events (e.g. drought). I use tree rings to analyse past growth and supplement this analysis with climate data to assess which species are likely to thrive in the future. I work closely with forestry professionals to apply these findings directly to sustainable forest management. I also use trees to study natural phenomena such as floods, avalanches and landslides.
