My research
I am exploring the question of how people are welcomed into a new community. When are they accepted as part of it without question? Which hierarchies and discourses make them different? How do political measures affect their life trajectories and their integration? What strategies do they develop to overcome obstacles? I am less interested in statistical data and more in people’s stories and concrete experiences – in other words, how people act and why.
