My research

After studying crystal lattices, I found myself increasingly drawn to break free from the rigid structures of crystal chemistry and turn my attention to more open-ended areas of inquiry. One question that has stayed with me ever since is: what makes a material, a substance or a living being what it is? Today, as part of the ‘Berzelius’ project, I inspire school pupils to take an interest in scientific topics, combining precise scientific work with a holistic perspective.
