My research

My research centres on the themes of family, gender and intergenerational relationships, emotions, past ways of life, conflicts between people and forms of conflict resolution, as well as the transformation of political cultures and ideas. This almost always involves questions of power relations and the opportunities available to individuals to assert themselves, express their views and thereby help shape their own lives – questions, in other words, that also shape our everyday lives.
