Dr. Matthias Michel is now a member of the Council of States (Zug/FDP), following his work as a lawyer and mediator and many years as a member of the Zug cantonal government. In and outside the Federal Parliament, he represents a visionary education and science policy for Switzerland and works to build bridges between science and politics.

Lea Haller is the Co-Secretary General of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAGW). She holds a PhD in history from ETH Zurich, focusing on the history of cortisone, and subsequently researched the history of global commodity trade in Paris, Cambridge (USA) and Geneva. She was the longtime editor-in-chief of the magazine NZZ Geschichte.

Jón Gunnar Þorsteinsson has been the editor-in-chief of the Icelandic Web of Science since 2001, one of Iceland's most visited websites and a model for savoir public. For almost a quarter-century, Icelanders have been able to submit their questions to researchers at the University of Reykjavík here.

Jörg Berger is a member of the Executive Board of the Swiss Association of School Principals (VSLCH) and the initiator of the vision book 'Schule21 macht glücklich'. As Vice-President of proEdu, he is committed to helping schools move forward together.
From 2017 to 2023, he worked at the University of Teacher Education, where he co-developed and led the CAS Digital Leadership in Education.

Flurina Simeon is a primary school teacher and Japanologist. Her interest in stories has led her into the field of communication. She heads the university communications department at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden and is actively involved at the national level in the Communication Commission of the Universities of Applied Sciences Chamber at swissuniversities.

Ingrid Brühwiler heads the education department of the Beisheim Foundation. She earned her PhD at the University of Luxembourg with a dissertation on Education Financing around 1800. As a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer, she worked at the University of Lausanne and at various teacher training colleges and universities both in Switzerland and abroad. She then headed the Department of Mainstream Education and served as Deputy Director of the Office for Public Schools and Sports in Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

Hanna Wick is a secondary school teacher for physics and mathematics and a freelance science journalist. Her career began at the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, led to SRF radio and finally to the Einstein editorial team. She was named Science Journalist of the Year in 2014. She has been president of the Agora evaluation committee of the Swiss National Science Foundation since 2021.

Manfred Papst has been imparting knowledge and culture for five decades – as editor, translator, publisher and head of the culture section at the NZZ am Sonntag. He was president of the Thomas Mann Society Zurich and the Gottfried Keller Society and is a trustee of the Landis & Gyr Foundation. 2015 he received the Alfred Kerr Prize for Literary Criticism.

Prof. Dr. Jacques Picard is an emeritus professor of General and Jewish History at the University of Basel and a former institute director and dean of research. He served as research director of the Independent Expert Commission on Switzerland – Second World War and is actively involved in foundations of scientific and socio-political institutions. He is a Fellow at the University of Haifa, Israel, and continues to research and publish on cultural and intellectual history.
