Familiarize yourself with the person asking the question. Is it a witty primary school student or a colleague from another field?

Express yourself clearly and simply.

Answer as if you were speaking directly to the person asking the question. Avoid technical jargon if possible.

Whatever helps you structure your thoughts, use it: voice message, video message, writing.

Explain.

Elaborate on your thought process. Mention experiments, experiences or studies.

Illustrate.

Illustrate your answer with pictures, comics, sketches, videos or with museum tips and event information.

Tip VII

Be honest and respectful.

Identify research gaps or your own uncertainties. Be generous with your knowledge, but modest with your advice.
