My research
My research focuses on the social, cultural and gender history of the 19th and 20th centuries. I examine how power relations were established and transformed, and have analysed a variety of source material in this regard: welfare files from poor relief boards, court records relating to criminal offences, and minutes of the League of Nations. Oral history is another key area of my research.
