My research

Initially, I was primarily interested in how natural (eco-)systems function, but I soon realised that humans exert a significant influence on natural systems through their land-use decisions. That is why I place great importance on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research approaches, which, at best, can also catalyse social transformation. My areas of expertise are soil protection, spatial planning, noise impact research and sustainability research.
