My research

I am researching how processes in alpine permafrost lead to the destabilisation of rock faces and how climate change affects natural hazards in the mountains. Using field measurements, laboratory experiments and models, I analyse movements and heat flows in the mountains to gain a better understanding of rock instability. I am fascinated by how even the smallest changes can have major consequences.
