My research
My overarching research focus is on the mental health of young people, including early detection and early intervention, as well as developmental psychopathology. In my doctoral thesis, I focused primarily on personality pathology in adolescents, particularly on the more recent dimensional concepts of personality functioning, which may offer a better explanation for difficulties in young people’s self-regulation and interpersonal behaviour. I have also worked on projects relating to suicidal behaviour, psychotic experiences, emotional dysregulation, self-harm and other topics.
