My research
My research focuses on the origins of Judaism and Christianity, their interaction, similarities and differences; I seek to explore how anti-Semitism and misogyny arose in Christian societies and how these are interlinked. I therefore examine biblical texts within their literary, socio-cultural, economic and political contexts; my work is interdisciplinary in nature and draws on cultural studies and theology.
