I am currently researching women’s roles in literary production during the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. A key focus of my work is Elisabeth of Lorraine. Other areas of interest include courtly romances from the 12th to the 14th centuries and the early history of printing. I am also interested in the way history is portrayed – particularly the image of the Middle Ages – in popular culture (ranging from comics and board games to video games, historical novels, TV series and films).
