My research
As a sociologist, I focus my research on the intersections between work and gender, with a particular emphasis on qualitative methods such as ethnography. My interests lie particularly in topics such as gender-specific ageing in the workplace, work-family arrangements and work-life balance, unpaid work, new forms of work, and the transformation of work – for example, through a reduction in working hours – and the potential inequalities that may arise as a result.
