My research

Together with my research group, I analyse the current state and future development of forests and their services. Based on data from the Swiss National Forest Inventory (LFI), we estimate timber stock, growth, utilisation and mortality, as well as derived parameters such as biomass, deadwood and carbon. We model possible future developments in the forest, taking into account forest management, climate change and disturbances.
