My research

As an archaeologist, my work focuses on pre-Roman Italy. I am fascinated by the multitude of Italic peoples and the Etruscans, as we learn very little about them from written sources. In my research projects, I have taken a particular interest in necropolises, such as those in Capua in Campania or in Cerveteri with its burial chambers. Such exceptional finds allow us to explore questions relating to social roles, social organisation and much more.
