My research

I explore the interrelationships between religion, law, society, landscape and politics. For example, law, as a cultural achievement that governs human coexistence, forms part of all religious traditions. At the same time, state law is a system of rules which regulates various religious traditions, grants them rights and obligations, and guarantees their freedoms. Religion is thus part of the law, insofar as the latter, within the rule of law, regulates the former.
