I am interested in how the ‘classical’ literature of Greece and Rome has been read, interpreted, promoted or questioned over the centuries. In my work, I have focused on a wide range of areas: from ancient drama to late antique figurative poetry, ancient literary criticism, gender studies and the reception of classical literature, and from Renaissance editions and commentaries to contemporary cinema.
