My research
My research bridges philosophy and anthropology. I explore how people make sense of the world in everyday social settings, and how histories of inequality shape what is recognized as knowledge. Much of my recent work is based on fieldwork in South Africa and examines attentional habits in divided societies. I use walking as a way of thinking with others and have written a book on walking together as a philosophical practice.
